Dr. Mackenna Davison is from the panhandle of Oklahoma where she grew up in the small town of Texhoma. She developed a love for animals from a young age whether it was snakes her dad brought home from the hog barns to the litters of kittens always found in the closets. When finishing high school she decided to combine her love for animals and her interest in sciences by pursuing veterinary medicine.
After completing her undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University, Dr. Davison received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She received her Doctor of Veterinary medicine from Oklahoma State University.
She has two pets, a miniature American Shepherd named Saki and a grey and white tabby named George. She got them both during vet school which helped keep her sanity.
In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, trying new recipes, and reading for fun.
